Light and Shadow - Presentation of the collection

"With this new collection, Shadow and Light , I wanted to play with contrasts, mix materials and volumes to tell a story that is both powerful and sensitive. It explores this subtle duality between what is revealed and what remains veiled, between clarity and darkness, brilliance and mystery.

My trip to Japan profoundly influenced this creation. Their relationship with shadow and light, with Beauty, is so different from the one we have in Europe. It is based on a search for subtlety, depth, and emotional resonance. Junichirō Tanizaki's book In Praise of Shadows confirmed this perception: shadow is not what hides, but rather what reveals. This change of perspective captivated me. It resonates with the work of Pierre Soulages and his outrenoir, where black is no longer the absence of color, but rather totality, a vibrant surface that gives birth to light. I like this idea that subtle contrasts are capable of generating deep emotion.

To translate this emotion into images, I chose to work again with the photographer Isshogai and the dancer and model Lia Kemendi. Creating with them is an obvious choice, a precious encounter that allows me to bring to life what I imagine with accuracy and sensitivity. Lia, through her presence and her movement, expresses with a rare intensity this poetic tension between shadow and light.
